Applications: Used as an organic synthesis raw material, serves as a solvent, refrigerant, flame retardant, and anti-knock agent component. In medicine, functions as a disinfectant and analgesic. As a pesticide intermediate, it is the primary raw material for synthesizing novel, highly effective broad-spectrum fungicides and is also a key ingredient in large-scale acaricide production. Dibromomethane is an excellent flame retardant. When added to polymers, it effectively reduces the heat of combustion during plastic burning.
